We understand that over the years as we have served our communities with our award-winning dishes, that things change, and we created the My Thai Fresh Kitchen franchise opportunity to directly respond to those demands in the market. Our goal is to deliver the tastiest, freshest Thai cuisine all in a beautifully modern interior space. Vanh Kalong, founder, and Principal of My Thai has owned and operated My Thai since 2001 with the support of her partner Dennis Forster. Vanh recalls what it was like coming to a new country and having to join the Canadian workforce with little connections to Canadians other than her first job working in fast food. These experiences are honoured, and her values are integrated into the training and onboarding principles of every My Thai employee. My Thai currently employs over 70 full and part-time employees, creating a culture of inclusiveness, diversity, and often lifelong friendships.
From the stunning modern interior, open concept kitchen, and a nod to traditional Thai elements, the interior space of My Thai fresh kitchen is intended to inspire the feeling of Thailand, all while enjoying a burst of bold, delicious, fresh flavours from the comfort of our space or your home. We combine this with a focus on excellent customer service, all while offering a menu where everyone can enjoy the taste of Thailand, regardless of their unique dietary requirements or allergies.
The recipes at My Thai are generations in the making but cater to today's tastes and dietary demands, which positions us unique in our category. Most of our products begin with a vegan and peanut-free base and many of our dishes are made gluten-free. We do all of these without sacrificing taste or tradition while carefully selecting the freshest ingredients available.
My Thai believes in keeping with tradition and respecting the environment. Sustainability is integral to us— which is why we use many recyclable materials, including our signature banana leaf as part of each dish to reduce paper waste. We understand that by caring for our environment, we care for generations to come.

We ensure that the franchisees who join our network are provided immersive operations training, such as coaching and mentoring on how to own and operate a My Thai Fresh Kitchen restaurant. We understand that when we begin with an alignment in values, we will win together. Our franchisees come from a variety of professional backgrounds and need to have a passion for their community, service excellence, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Award Winning Thai Cuisine
With a focus on the freshest Thai flavours married with authenticity, we are excited to launch My Thai Fresh Kitchen, a fast-casual dining experience like no other available in the market today. This exciting new restaurant, opening in Paris, ON in January 2023, will feature a warm and bright ambience, which features a living wall incorporating the personal touches of our Founder, Vanh Kalong. At the centre of the experience is the bright and open Thai kitchen, where our guests can watch their food being prepared and custom-built right in front of their eyes – just like in the streets of Thailand. Each My-Thai kitchen will feature a bold and bright feature wall mural, crafted by local artist Jenny Le.
